Moment – Works by João Jorge Magalhães curated by Blanc Art will be at The SECOND “6075 MACAU HOTEL ART FAIR” from 12:00 to 20:00 on the 24th November 2016 to 27th November 2016. The opening ceremony will be held on 24th November 2016 at 16:00. The show will be hosted at Room 422 and consisted of João Jorge Magalhães paintings including his recent unreleased works. Blanc Art aims to provide an environment for the visitors of the exhibition to gain a more in-depth knowledge about the artist creative concepts and increase public awareness of art collection in Macau.

Living in Macau since the age of four and graduated at Lisbon University. During his time in Macau, João is touched by the “East meet West” cultural impact. Macau naturally became an important creative element in his works. His style is clear, lively, colorful, bold, meticulous, with a very distinctive black and white pattern, vivid interpretation of the characteristics of Chinese and Western cultural blend of Macau. João’s works are visually attractive and truly reflect the present state of society, both humorous and serious, provide an airy space for audience to reflect remind themselves again of what the real life is. João Jorge Magalhães works have been exhibited in Macao, Taiwan, London, San Francisco and Italy and highly valued by private collectors.

 

The purpose of this exposition is to deepen the understanding of art, especially the local contemporary art scene in Macau. Through this exhibition, Blanc Art would like to increase the appreciation of local artists and make art collection closer into Macao urban lifestyle.
