《Of Love & Other Demons》, as a solo exhibition of Chinese artist Kay Zhang, takes place from 24th September to 24th October. Meanwhile, her works are also showcased in《2020 ARTFEM Women Artists 2nd International Biennial of Macau》, which is held from 30th September to 23rd December.
Kay Zhang’s art creation includes paintings on paper and installations. Her exquisite artworks feature Medieval illuminated manuscript as well as woodcut and engraving, giving a reflection on female’s living status in the modern world. The pieces are usually presented in form of narrative art. At the same time, she also involves herself in research on Macau’s contemporary art.

The solo exhibition of Kay Zhang, 《Of Love & Other Demons》,shows her works based on Garcia Marquez’s story with her iconic style inspired by medieval illuminated manuscripts, displayed as whole in the form of altarpiece. Also, the artist provides her audience with a visual way to read her favourite novelist, Garcia Marquez’s greatest book on love.

《2020 ARTFEM Women Artists 2nd International Biennial of Macau》
On the other hand, the exhibition《2020 ARTFEM Women Artists 2nd International Biennial of Macau》accommodates large number of artworks from about 100 female artists around the globe. Hosted with the theme ‘Nature’, it comprises four individual showcases which take place at different locations in Macau.
