The Sunny Art Award 2017 Call for Entries
Deadline: 20th June, 2017

Regulation:
• The competition is open to all artists from around the world.
• Artists must be aged 18 years or over as of 10th April 2016.
• Paintings, drawings, original prints, photography and digitally produced artworks are accepted.
• The artworks, if shortlisted for judging, must be the same work previously submitted as a digital image and be available for the next stage of judging and if selected for the exhibition(s) including the whole exhibition period. We will not be able to allow collection within the exhibition period.
• Maximum size is 1 m x 1 m, including frame.
• The competition is limited to four entries per artist. All entries must be of original works that have been completed within three years prior to 10th April 2016.
• On receipt of the registration and entry fee, a confirmation email will be sent to the artist.
• All correspondence with artists will be via email unless specifically requested otherwise.

The Sunny Art Award Competition and Exhibition
The Sunny Art Award is hosted by the Sunny Art Centre in London, Britain.
The Award is aimed at encouraging both established and emerging artists to showcase their excellent works to the wider audience and art collectors in the United Kingdom and Asia, in order to promote art and cultural diversity by engaging with the most prominent art communities in China.

Art Prizes
first prize of £3,000, solo public exhibition in central London and art residency in a city of your choices of cities including Beijing or Guangzhou in China for a month.

Second prize including £2,000 and art residency in a city of your choice including Beijing or Guangzhou in China for a month.

Third price including £1,000 and art residency in a city of your choice including Beijing or Guangzhou in China for a month.

30 shortlisted artists’ works will be exhibited during the summer time in the Sunny Art Centre in the heart of Central London, where the artworks can be seen and purchased by thousands of art collectors during the exhibition.

Professional Judgement
Selection is made by a panel of visual arts professional judges, including art academics, art gallery directors and art critics, appointed by the Sunny Art Centre. The entrants who are successful in this round will be invited to deliver their work to a venue in London for the final round of judging and the exhibition selection. All entries will be judged on an equal and anonymous basis by professional judges.

Exhibition
The Sunny Art Award 2017 exhibition will run at the Sunny Art Centre in the United Kingdom (neighborhood of British Museum, St Paul’s Cathedral and Museum of London) from 1st August to 31th August 2017.

Also, a series of touring exhibitions will be staged over the course of the closure period at partner venues across the UK and China (among the others Haidian District Beijing Center, Guangzhou AIP Gallery, Blanc Art Gallery in Macau).
